It can be confusing because some raw processing programs think that demosaiced but still natural images in colorspace to be “raw”, even if it’s actually “pseudo-raw”. I was extremely happy to have a product that can make lenses more correct (because C1 does not have the majority of lenses that are RF) but I’m not sure I’ll purchase it. If people weren’t saving RAWs using this feature, DxO wouldn’t have as big of a market to tap into. The underlying architecture was already pretty fast, and I believe it used native frameworks anyway, but now that the whole application is native M1, it no longer needs to load under rosetta, so aside from speed gains, it should use slightly less memory too.However, this isn’t the case when new versions of Lightroom, Capture One, or Phocus are released and is an important element of what RAW actually means.
